The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Wednesday, emphasized that it is currently not recruiting into the service.
The service stated this in a terse post in a mixture of correct English and pidgin on its official X handle.
It warned members of the public not to fall victim to scammers out to defraud them.
It advised everyone to remain wise and not fall victim.
The post also added that if notice of recruitment is not from the service, then it should be regarded as fake news.
The post reads, “For sake of emphasis:
The Service IS NOT CURRENTLY RECRUITING!!!!
“No allow dem make dem gba you thief your hard-earned money. Stay wise. Don’t fall victim.
“Our social media handles across all platforms is @nigimmigration
“If you no see say we tweet am, then na FAKE NEWS.”
