The Nigerian Army has made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of a notorious kidnapper, Suleiman Ahmad, in Taraba State.
Ahmad, known for his criminal activities in the Lau Local Government Area, is accused of extorting over N70 million in ransom from his victims.
The arrest was part of a coordinated operation targeting known kidnapping hotspots, including Maraban Abare, Bomanda, and Karamuke villages, which have been plagued by criminal activities.
Captain Oni Olubodunde, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, confirmed that Ahmad, a resident of Bomanda village, admitted to kidnapping at least 20 people and using an AK-47 rifle during his operations.
