Starting today’s premier league fixtures, The league champions, Manchester City paid a visit to Newcastle at the St. James Park as they look to return back into winning ways after settling for a draw against Arsenal in their previous league match.
The game began with several chances being created by both sides. At the 35th minute, the away team were able to convert one of this chances as Gvardiol put the ball in the back of the net thanks to an assist from Grealish.
At the 57th minute, the home team were awarded a penalty after Manchester City’s goalkeeper, Ederson brought down Gillett. Gordon then took responsibility of the opportunity and was able to convert the penalty taking the game to a level.
