According to report by Daily post news, Bournemouth midfielder Malachi Ogunleye has pledged his international future to Nigeria, opting to represent the country of his Nigerian father rather than England, where he grew up.

“I’ve had some recognition from the newspapers in Nigeria, so it’s been nice to see that,” Ogunleye said in an interview with Bournemouth’s official website.
According to reports from England, the versatile midfielder has now chosen to play for Nigeria, a decision that places him in contention for a spot in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in South Africa. The Flying Eagles secured qualification for the tournament after winning the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo last month.
