Man Fall Into Diesel Reservoir In An Attempt To Rescues Colleague In Lagos

Two men fell into a diesel reservoir Saturday morning at Ikosi, Oregun Road in Lagos State.

It was gathered that one of the men accidentally fell into the reservoir while working. The second man, in an attempt to rescue him, also fell into the reservoir.

Emergency responders acted swiftly to rescue both victims, who were found alive but in critical condition. They were immediately administered first aid and transported to the hospital by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).

The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident.

“Upon arrival of LASEMA’s Tiger Response Team at the scene by 10.47 a.m., it was discovered that two adult males had fallen into a diesel reservoir at the above-mentioned location,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the men (an adult) accidentally fell into the diesel reservoir while working. The second adult male, in an attempt to rescue the first, also fell into the reservoir,” he added.

Emergency responders are currently assessing the site to determine additional safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.Tap Here for the Full Story
