Manchester United are keeping tabs on Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku as the Blues consider a January move for United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Nkunku has been in excellent form, scoring 13 goals in 13 starts this season, but his opportunities in the Premier League under manager Enzo Maresca have been limited, with just three starts. Frustrated with his lack of playing time, the French international is reportedly open to leaving Stamford Bridge.
United, who showed interest in Nkunku last December, remain keen on the player, while Bayern Munich are also monitoring his situation. According to ESPN, United have asked to be kept informed about any developments.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are considering an official bid for Garnacho, one of United’s top young talents. Although United are not actively looking to sell the Argentine winger, they are open to realistic offers due to their financial constraints. Napoli has also expressed interest in Garnacho, though he reportedly prefers to stay in the Premier League. United have set a £70m asking price for Garnacho, a figure comparable to Chelsea’s valuation of Nkunku.
United are currently struggling for goals this season, with Amad Diallo leading the scoring charts with just six goals. Strikers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee have managed a combined five goals, with Højlund enduring a 10-game goalless streak. As a result, United are prioritizing reinforcements in attack, though their budget remains limited.
The club is also working on a deal to sign Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu, a Denmark international wingback. United have made an initial bid of £25m for the 20-year-old, but Lecce values him at £33.6m.
Additionally, United are close to loaning out winger Antony to Real Betis. Signed for £85m from Ajax, Antony has struggled for form over the past 18 months. Betis are reportedly willing to cover most of his wages, which could give United more financial flexibility in the remaining days of the transfer window.Tap Here for the Full Story
