Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, has opened up on the reason he did not celebrate the birthday of his first wife on social media.
LeadNaija reports that Olufunsho turned 50 last week and had a party in the US, however Adeoti was conspicuously absent.
He was dragged on social media for failing to attend the party and not celebrating her online.
Speaking on the reason for his absence in an Instagram post, Adeoti stated that his wife stopped him from attending the party and also warned him against sharing her pictures online.
The businessman explained that he asked her again in the presence of her children and her response remained the same.
He said he decided to respect her wish because he would not want any form of embarrassment if he attends the party.
Adeoti stated that despite his wife’s desire, he supported her financially and morally.
He disclosed that he sent her a happy birthday message privately and she replied pleasantly.
The filmmaker subsequently urged members of the public to desist from making unpleasant comments about his family members.
He maintained that his first wife remains a significant part of his life, and he would never wish her anything bad.
