To reduce the cost of airline operations across the country, the Federal Government of Nigeria on Thursday signed the Cape Town Convention (CTC) Practice Directions.
Chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the signing of the agreement is aimed at enabling a business environment in the aviation industry.
The signing which took place at the Presidential Villa has the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, the minister of aviation, Festus Keyamoc the minister of finance and key players in the industry like the managing director of Air Peace Airline, Allen Onyema.
Speaking at the event, Keyamo represented by Anastasia Gbem said investors can bring their aircraft to Nigeria for business.
He said, “Investors can bring their aircraft into Nigeria and if there is any problem, such aircraft would be recovered within the 10-day period that Nigeria and the Cape Town Convention have provided, Full Details.”
