The Nigerians Air Force has announced a 100 per cent increase in the ration allowance for its personnel.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar said the personnel ration allowance has been increased from N1,500 to N3,000.
Abubakar also stated that the force increased the personnel’s insurance payout via a new Group Personnel Accident Insurance Policy.
The CAS disclosed this while inaugurating the newly constructed accommodation at the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base in Lagos.
He assured personnel that the increase in these items was all captured in the 2025 budget.
“In the meantime, a 100 per cent increment in the Ration Cash Allowance for 2025 has already been established as a proactive measure to support personnel amid rising living costs,” he said.
Abubakar also revealed that the Defence Headquarters has been engaged for a review of the Armed Forces Manual of Financial Administration.
He said this would help enhance the total welfare of every personnel within the Armed Forces of the Federation.
