Chaos erupted late Thursday night in Illela-Baraya Village, Sokoto State, when a group of armed bandits unleashed terror, leaving three dead in a hail of gunfire.
According to report gathered by LeadNaija, the gunmen stormed the village around 10 p.m., firing indiscriminately and fatally wounding three innocent residents.
Security forces responded swiftly, engaging the attackers in a fierce shootout that ultimately forced the criminals to flee empty-handed. Despite the bravery of the responders, the victims could not survive their injuries and were confirmed dead at the hospital.
Troops recovered three spent AK-47 shells at the scene and have since launched an aggressive patrol campaign to hunt down the fleeing assailants and restore calm to the area. CONTINUE READING
