Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that Na’ballo met his end during an internal confrontation among bandit factions in the area.
In a separate incident on Monday suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on a motorist between Kucheri and Magazu villages.
The motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military.
Acting on the intelligence, troops responded swiftly and neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation, killing all eight attackers.
