According to football Transfer, Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Ayden Heaven from Arsenal, with the young defender set to join Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad immediately. Heaven, an 18-year-old centre-back, becomes the second highly regarded player Arsenal has lost to United in just six months, following the acquisition of Chido Obi-Martin from their Hale End academy.
United is paying a nominal fee for Heaven, who has signed a contract running until June 2029, which is likely to frustrate Arsenal. Although Heaven has only made one appearance for Arsenal, playing 10 minutes in an EFL Cup match against Preston North End earlier this season, he is now poised for regular first-team action at United.
In his statement on the move, Heaven expressed his excitement about joining Manchester United, saying, āIām incredibly proud to join Manchester United. Iām grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. There is so much that I want to achieve in the game, and Iāll be giving everything to continue my development and become the best player that I can be.ā
Manchester Unitedās technical director, Jason Wilcox, emphasized that Heaven is ready for top-level football and that the club provides an ideal environment for his growth. āWe are delighted that Ayden has joined Manchester United. He is already an extremely talented defender who is ready to join our first-team squad in order to maximise his development,ā Wilcox said. āThis club has a phenomenal track record of supporting young players, and we believe that Ayden is in the perfect place to reach his excellent potential.āTap Here for the Full Story
