Ownership Clarification: Pastor Idowu Iluyomade Reveal Concerned Over Trinity Towers Building

Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, a significant figure in Nigeria’s religious and legal sectors, is well-known for his dual roles as a respected lawyer and was a dedicated Senior Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish in Lagos.

As a minister, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade’s dynamic preaching and leadership have significantly impacted the RCCG community, particularly in the City of David Parish.

His role extends beyond spiritual guidance as he serves as the Special Assistant to the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on Christian Social Responsibility through His Love Foundation.

This foundation is dedicated to transforming lives and reforming society, with a focus on education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation and this birthed about 2 million projects and activities under the watch of pastor Idowu Iluyomade .

Despite his outstanding unprecedented many achievements why did Pastor Adeboye not commend him or mention his name at his second coming message especially since he was sitting inside one of such achievements, the Trinity Towers envisioned and built under the watch of iluyomade . History cannot be altered .

Recently Pastor Idowu Iluyomade started his ministry, ‘The Family Fellowship’ which at inception witnessed overflow of members and has had consistent membership . His services holds at Civic center and Oriental hotel .

Currently there is a trending video where the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, pastor Adeboye stated that the Trinity Towers building belonged to a bank when he dedicated it in February 2023 and that City of David was a tenant there.

We are reliably informed that the The Trinity towers Building is a 15 storey building belonging to the City of David as owner but was built with debt and equity . The Church family of about 3000 members contributed to the cost of building and took a N10b mortgage facility from Access Bank to augment their funds with the intention of paying back the 10 year facility through letting off 11 floors to Tenants which included Access Bank , Baido Pharmacy and Sora restaurant to name a few.

The facility together with interest was serviced by the church and they paid the total sum of about N 11.5 billion as at the time iluyomade left leaving a balance of N9 billion which iluyomade could have paid off through the tenants and members contributions.

Trinity Towers is said to be now worth about N150 billion showing that it was a very good investment as its value have more than quadrippled its cost of construction . All the tenants paid between 5 and 10 years rent in advance which were used to service the Bank loan.

From what the General Overseer has said , it is obvious that Wigwe alone did not build Trinity Towers as was being bandied at some quarters which caused a major uproar .

Now the cat is out of the bag . City of David has never been Tenants and remained landlord even to Access Bank for years to come as the Property was never foreclosed by the Bank .

It should be noted that the land upon which Trinity Towers is built was not paid for by the former pastor of city of David, late Pastor Eskor who died suddenly leaving behind a debt of #360Million Naira in respect of the Trinity Towers land which was paid off by pastor Idowu iluyomade when he took over from the late Pastor Eskor in 2007 and this was paid off within the space of 3 months .

At that time the late Eskor had just finished building the old City of david . Iluyomade was the one that built the school and Trinity Towers. Why is this not in the news ?

Several questions have been raised from Adeboye’s statement.

1.Why the rush to pay the balance of 9 billion naira when the payment for the mortgage spans for 10 years with prospective tenants that could pay off the loan. Why ignore the needs of impoverished members of the redeemed Christian church?

2. Who owns the Trinity Towers building?

Is it the Redeemed Christian Church of God, members of City of David, Apapa family or pastor Adeboye ?

3. Also it is known that a building on mortgage cannot be foreclosed when the payment is still on going and there was no remote threat of foreclosure from the Bank over as the Trinity Towers mortgage re payment which was still on when Pastor Adeboye came for the dedication in 2023.

4. Why is the good works by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade which went beyond Kings Court Chapel , City of David or Apapa family and CSR over 25yrs not being celebrated by pastor Adeboye?

5. In this harsh economy where did Pastor Adeboye get 9billion naira to balance the mortgage payment ? How come institutions Almajaris the poor widows etc are being neglected

Let’s not forget the scriptures in Galatians 2v 10 where Apostle peter admonished Apostle Paul on the importance of always remembering the poor. CONTINUE READING
