PDP on the Brink of Collapse — APC’s Ganduje Predicts Party’s End

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will soon become extinct.

He said this following a statement by a former governor of Jigawa, Sule Lamido, who stated that the APC would soon disintegrate, adding that Ganduje and former members of the PDP would soon return to the party.

Reacting, Ganduje described the claim as “baseless and illogical”, adding that he has no reason to leave the APC for a failing opposition.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje said, “In fact, we will soon receive Sule Lamido because very soon he won’t have anywhere to go. The PDP is dead.”

Ganduje then stated that the PDP will collapse before the end of 2025 as a result of its internal division.

“It is evident to any discerning observer that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC continues to gain momentum, with prominent political figures across the country defecting to the party in large numbers,” he said.

“With such overwhelming national support, the APC remains focused on consolidating its achievements and preparing for a resounding victory in the 2027 general elections.”

He reaffirmed his pride in leading the APC, which he described as the largest political party in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
