The Local Government elections in Akwa Ibom State has been suspended over the death of the First Lady, Patience Eno.
PDP’s publicity secretary in the state Edwin Ebiese in a statement said the LG campaigns across the state would be suspended as a sign of respect for the late Mrs Eno
Noting that the party is devasted over the death of the First Lady, Ebiese said the PDP is mourning with the entire Akwa Ibom state.
“As we struggle to come to terms with this huge loss, we are compelled to suspend our campaign activities as a mark of respect for her,” he said.
Ebiase also urged God to give the governor, the state and the entire Eno family the fortitude to bear this loss.
