An elderly man was reportedly attacked and killed by armed bandits in N/Mailayi Village, Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State, after the attackers failed to locate their intended target, police have confirmed.
The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 12:50 p.m. when the assailants stormed the village in search of an individual suspected of violating their rules, intelligence sources told our source, Zagazola Makama.
According to reports, after an unsuccessful search for the target, the bandits turned on the man’s father, Alhaji Usman Kantoma, shooting him before fleeing the scene.
