Popular Nigerian content creator, MC Mbakara and his wife, Lolo Mbakara have opened up about their daughter’s battle with cerebral palsy.

‎It would be recalled that the couple welcomed their daughter, Eke Mama, on October 19, 2016.

MC Mbakara Speaks On His Daughter’s Battle With Cerebral Palsy

‎In a video posted to his YouTube account, MC Mbakara and his wife revealed their daughter’s battle with cerebral palsy is one of the most severe cases of the disease they have encountered.

According to the couple, their daughter has been ‘sleepy’ for nine years and offered insights into her birth.

‎During her birth, Lolo faced complications as the baby got stuck, and oxygen shortages at the hospital escalated the situation.

The couple disclosed that the event occurred at the General hospital in Calabar, Cross River State.

“The baby was stuck. I struggled to push, and there was a slight delay for the baby to come out. Eventually, the baby came out and wasn’t crying. They brought oxygen with water and poured it all over the baby”, Lolo stated.

However, they were referred to a teaching hospital for emergency care as the baby was grasping for breath.

Recounting the incident, MC Mbakara stated, “The worst part of it was that they insisted I pay for registration before they attended to the baby. We were begging.”.
