A fire outbreak on Friday, May 16, razed the popular Cue Bar in the Wuse area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
The incident was said to have affected the building located opposite Zenith Bank on the popular Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent in Wuse 2 at about 10.50 am.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), its Abuja office received an SOS about the incident, leading to an immediate activation of
FCT fire service and a response team.
NEMA, in a statement, said, “Preliminary information revealed that the fire originated from a spa within the building and spread to an adjacent facility.”
It also stated that one person sustained a limb fracture from the incident and has been moved to a medical facility for treatment.
It said, “The fire was successfully extinguished, and the operation has been concluded.
“The premises have been handed over to the Maitama Division of the Nigeria Police for further security,” the agency said.
