One of Nigeria’s businessmen and northern elder statesman, Aminu Dantata, has visited Maiduguri, Borno state to feliciate with victims of the recent flood incident in the city.
Dantata also gifted the victims N1.5 billion during the visit to Maiduguri where he led a delegation from Kano to the Borno Government House on Tuesday.
Speaking on this devastating incident, Dantata, 96, condoled with Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State over the lives lost.
Decrying the state of the nation’s economy, Dantata urged leaders to repent and fear God in their dealings with citizens.
In his response, the governor appreciated the businessman on behalf of the people of the state.
He said, “The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me say it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims. May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba.”
