Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Adegoke Fayoade has disclosed new details regarding the arrest of Patrick Akpoguma, a notorious internet fraudster who allegedly tried to bribe police officers with a substantial sum of money. The arrest came after Akpoguma’s elaborate schemes to defraud unsuspecting victims were uncovered.
In a video interview recently shared by TVC, AIG Fayoade explained that the suspect often used disguises, including masks, to carry out his fraudulent activities.
Akpoguma reportedly assumed the alias “Adam Taggart” to deceive his victims, using the disguise to appear as a different person while engaging in his scams. Fayoade revealed, “This is the mask he wears to deceive people anytime he wants to get money from his unsuspecting victims, and he claims he is Adam Taggart.”
The arrest took a dramatic turn when Akpoguma attempted to bribe the arresting officers to secure his release. According to AIG Fayoade, the fraudster presented $100,000 in cash, amounting to 10 bundles of $100 bills, in an effort to evade justice…

“The fraudster attempted to buy my men with some amount of dollars. The total amount of dollars he presented to my men is 100 thousand dollars,” Fayoade stated.
