A joint operation between the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens (STT EC) led to the recovery of a hijacked Toyota Corolla Quest in Tsakane on Tuesday.
According to authorities, officers were on routine patrol when they received a tracker dispatch for the vehicle, which had been reported hijacked in Brakpan earlier in the day. Law enforcement swiftly responded and traced the car to a yard on Mkhwani Street, Tsakane.
Upon searching the premises, officers made a startling discovery, several SAPS uniform items were found inside the house. The uniforms were confiscated for further investigation.

No arrests have yet been confirmed, but police say investigations are underway to determine whether the occupants of the house are linked to the hijacking or to the possession of police gear.
Gauteng Traffic Police have praised the swift coordination between patrol teams and tracking units, noting that such joint operations continue to play a vital role in dismantling vehicle hijacking networks across the province.
