Amid growing public concern over Nigeria’s security situation, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has called for patience, urging critics to give President Bola Tinubu’s administration more time to implement its plans.
Speaking during a plenary session, Ibrahim stated:
“President (Tinubu) passed the budget in January, and by the end of April, you expect everybody to be secure. We are still in 2025; we’re not even halfway to 2025.”
His remarks appear aimed at those expressing frustration over persistent security challenges, despite increased funding for defense and internal security in the 2025 national budget.
Senator Ibrahim’s comments reflect a broader appeal from government allies who argue that measurable results, particularly in the security sector, will take time as reforms are still unfolding.
