Serbia to Hold ‘Unprecedented’ Military Parade in September – President Vučić

Belgrade – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced plans for what he described as an “unprecedented” military parade this September, promising a display of advanced defense capabilities, including previously undisclosed equipment.

Speaking in a national address, President Vučić said the upcoming event would mark a milestone in Serbia’s military development, showcasing assets “the region has never seen.”

> “We must become stronger militarily to preserve peace, stability, and our sovereignty and independence—without ever threatening anyone,” Vučić stated. “But we must deter those who might think Serbia could be easy prey in today’s world of growing instability.”

The president emphasized that the parade is intended as a deterrent, not a provocation, and that the goal is to reassure Serbian citizens of the nation’s defense readiness while discouraging potential external threats.

While specific details about the new equipment remain classified, Vučić hinted that the display would include modern technologies that even the domestic public is unfamiliar with.

The announcement comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Balkans and across Europe. Security analysts view the parade as both a symbolic and strategic move aimed at reinforcing national unity and projecting military confidence.
