Nigerian singer, Euphemia Ekumah, popularly known as GoodGirl LA, has opened up about her struggle with depression and how the isolation that followed it transformed her life.
The singer, who has been quiet for some time now, shared that she was dealing with depression in isolation, but she turned it into power by focusing on self-mastery and transmutation.
The Bless Me crooner revealed that during that period, she turned down offers that many artists were desperate to get because she didnât want to sell her soul.
She stated that some people called her âcrazy,â and her friends looked down on her because she refused to compromise.
She said even her parents called her âa failure,â which changed her view on whatâs important to her.
The 28-year-old added that her priority is making music and touching lives.

âIn that period, my âfriendsâ started to look down on me and pretty much just shenked me. Bruh, even my own parents did too and called me a failure. It changed my view on whatâs really important. Iâve seen how the world treats a young girl thatâs tryna achieve greatness. The cheers and boos arenât what any of this is about. Itâs really all about art, touching my Gs and the worldâŚâ
