Tinubu Has Allowed Himself To Be Trapped By Greedy Politicians – PDP Chieftain

Segun Sowunmi, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and former spokesman for ex-PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of allowing a group of influential politicians to control his administration.

In a recent interview with Seun Okinbaloye on the Mic On Podcast, Sowunmi argued that the cabal’s influence has hindered the effectiveness of the President’s interventions, making them largely ineffective for the general populace.

Sowunmi expressed disappointment in the lack of tangible improvements for Nigerians despite the President’s efforts.

He warned that if, within the next ten months, there is no significant and visible progress in the quality of services provided to the people, President Tinubu’s tenure could be in jeopardy.

The PDP chieftain criticized the President’s aides and officials for failing to engage effectively with the public, especially during times of the recent protests.

“If in ten months’ time clear, relatable, accessible evidence that people are now getting quality services is not on the table, the President can forget about it; it will be over.

“Even while this protest issue was going on, I was utterly disappointed that most of his (Tinubu’s) people who have the right to spontaneously come and reach out to people weren’t doing that.

“The president has allowed himself to be trapped by a few people and that’s the reason whatever he is doing is not reaching the people,” Sowunmi stated.
