Tinubu’s Leadership Repositions Agriculture at Heart of National Development – Kyari

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, has hailed the commissioning of 2,000 tractors as a major milestone in Nigeria’s agricultural transformation, describing it as a clear demonstration of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to repositioning agriculture at the centre of the country’s development agenda.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Abuja on Monday, the Minister said the move signals a renewed national focus on mechanisation, food security, and rural empowerment.

“This is a landmark milestone in Nigeria’s agricultural transformation journey,” Kyari declared.

“It is a bold affirmation that, under the leadership of President Tinubu, agriculture is once again at the heart of our national development strategy.”

Kyari noted that the deployment of the tractors would enhance productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and support the implementation of the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda for food sufficiency.

The minister also commended stakeholders and partners involved in the initiative, assuring that the government remains committed to supporting farmers and agribusinesses across the value chain.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Tinubu administration to address rising food prices and drive economic diversification.
