Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are reportedly set to battle for FC Porto goalkeeper, Diogo Costa this summer.
According to A Bola as reported by Sport Witness, the goalie could be available for a €75 million in the summer transfer window.
The publication further claimed that Costa will be the talk of the summer because he is very certain to start as Portugal’s goalkeeper in the June Nations League final four, and he will also be in goal for Porto at the Club World Cup.
Given that he has been linked to teams like Manchester City, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich, they hope to use that to raise the shot-stopper’s profile and worth in Europe.
Costa, 25, is at the top of his game and has a “career leap” in mind, but his contract has a €75 million release clause. Even for clubs that have the means to spend, that is seen as a significant sum for the current market.
Despite the huge clause and Porto’s obvious intent to raise his asking price as much as possible this summer, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Bayern are all reportedly interested.
It remains to be seen who the Portugal international will sign for ahead of the 2025-26 season.
