A viral video circulating online has captured a dramatic scene at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where a group of female students were seen pursuing controversial influencer and content creator, AsherKine, reportedly offering themselves as his next romantic partner — popularly referred to as “the next Becky.”
The video, which quickly gained traction on social media platforms, shows several students excitedly crowding around AsherKine, with some allegedly flaunting their iPhones while urging him to “upgrade” them. Eyewitnesses claim the influencer, overwhelmed by the growing crowd and attention, had to leave the campus abruptly to avoid escalation.
While reactions to the incident have been mixed, many users online are calling out what they describe as the “desperation culture” fueled by flashy social media lifestyles. Others, however, blamed AsherKine for creating a persona that encourages such behavior through his lavish public displays and controversial content.
