Ganiyu Morufu, better known by his stage as Ijoba Lande, is a popular Yoruba Nollywood actor who has stated that he would never get back together with his estranged wife, no matter how much money she offered him. During a recent interview on the Oyinmomo Official YouTube channel, the actor opened out about the intense mental agony he endured as a result of his ex-wife’s alleged infidelity, explaining that he would turn down an offer of N100 billion to have sexual relations with her.
According to Lande, his wife’s infidelity—she slept with numerous guys in the film industry—was the final straw that broke the marriage. Although he did not elaborate, the actor stated that he had video proof to back up his claims. He broke down in tears, saying that the treachery had crushed his heart and made him never want to be close to her again.
He spoke about his history of partnerships and admitted that he had a child from a previous relationship more than fourteen years ago, before he married his now-ex-wife. Her parents allegedly forbade their son from marrying her because of his affluent background at the time.
Although Lande acknowledged the hurt from that previous relationship, he stressed that the current anguish is more profound due to the unexpected and sudden end of his marriage. “I still love Darasimi,” he said. I have deep affection for her.
That I let her go hurts, and I miss her too. Her abrupt betrayal of my feelings is the only thing that hurts me. Since our divorce was so abrupt, I’m still upset about how our marriage ended and sometimes I find myself thinking about her. From the beginning, that was never our intention.
Even if someone offered me N100 billion to have an affair with Darasimi, I would refuse. Sexual relations with her are out of the question. I could care less if it were the means by which I could amass great wealth.
