American rapper and music executive Fat Joe is facing a federal lawsuit filed by his former hypeman, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, who has accused the artist of exploitation, fraud, and psychological abuse.
The legal action, filed in a U.S. federal court, claims that Fat Joe—real name Joseph Cartagena—allegedly manipulated Dixon out of rightful earnings and subjected him to years of mistreatment while working closely under his brand.
Dixon, who served as Fat Joe’s longtime stage hypeman, alleges that he was promised fair compensation and partnership opportunities that never materialized. Instead, the lawsuit claims he endured emotional manipulation, financial deception, and professional exclusion.
