Florian Wirtz has confirmed that discussions with new Liverpool manager Arne Slot played a pivotal role in his decision to join the club.
Speaking on the move, the German midfielder said:
“I can remember the first time — he already showed me some scenes of how we want to play and how I could fit in the team.”
“I just could imagine it well — to be in the team and to make it better.”
Wirtz’s comments highlight Slot’s proactive approach and tactical vision, which have reportedly impressed the 21-year-old during preliminary talks.
