US Rapper Snoop Dogg Stars as Olympic Flame Sails into Paris
The Olympic flame arrived in Paris on Friday on a tugboat, with the torch held by US rapper Snoop Dogg.
The flame, which began its journey in Marseille on May 8, passed through the suburbs and Saint-Denis, where it was carried by local rapper MC Solaar and stopped at the Stade de France.
The torch was later handed to a 17-year-old schoolboy and cruised along the Canal Saint-Denis towards Paris, greeted by crowds.
The flame’s journey through the city included visits to the athletes’ village and the Parc de la Villette, showcasing the excitement leading up to the opening ceremony.
