When the same spotlight that the Western media have been putting on African nations is turned back on them by the Trump media machine, what we are seeing is that they are every bit as corrupt or even more so than the African countries that they have been unfairly projecting as the fave of corruption. Look at the revelations that have come out from the Ukraine probe. Much of the aid sent to that country allegedly ended up in private pockets. What about the exposé from the USAID payments? Monies paid to cronies. Cash and slush are going to terror groups....Don’t Miss Out! CLICK HERE TO KEEP READING..>>
There are reports of epic misuse of federal funds sent to states. There are also other shady dealings involving the Bidens and their business partners, some of which have already led to convictions.
The only sin we have in Africa is that we do not have our own global mainstream media to project our propaganda and counter the narratives from the East and West.
Another challenge we face is that our people are too easily gaslighted. When we, as Africans, switch our dials to BBC, VOA, Deutsche Welle, and Radio France Internationale, we automatically turn off our critical thinking abilities.
Take a person like Idi Amin. Chances are that you, as a Black African, detest him. But do your findings. Idi Amin was not the buffoonish tyrant the Western media made him out to be.
Uganda’s economy was entirely in the hands of foreigners before Amin. Indians and Whites controlled more than 95% of the Ugandan economy. They refused to take Ugandan citizenship. They repatriated as much money as they could get.
So Amin sent them packing and almost overnight, and till this day, the wealth of Uganda is overwhelmingly controlled by Ugandans.
Margaret Thatcher was taking her son on official foreign trips and introducing him to business leaders as someone to do business with. Oh, please fact-check me. You know how I love that challenge.
If President Bola Tinubu tries that, a USAID-linked group like the type that politicised the Chibok Girls abduction would turn Nigerians against humanity and burn down the country through # EndSARS-like protests.
It eventually took South Africa to convict and jail Mark Thatcher. England refused to do it. Instead, they gave him a title.
Former French President François Mitterrand’s sons were heavily involved in corruption while their father was in office. Research it. But they buried that and projected that of the Nguemas of Equatorial Guinea.
As Africans, stop swallowing what you see and hear from the Western media. That is not news. That is indoctrination.
Even Russia and China do it to us. Many Africans romanticise Burkina Faso and Mali as some utopia. That is the work of propaganda. Things are now worse there. You do not hear about it because there is no more freedom of speech there.
Their economy is, to borrow the words of one individual, ‘in shambles’.
Burkina Faso has NOT paid off its debt. That is Russian propaganda. Security has not improved. It is worse. Islamists are killing Russian mercenaries and government troops at a higher rate than before. Please fact-check me using independent sources.
Burkina Faso is now so unstable that there is a coup almost every quarter. They fail because of foreign support for the government, which simply traded one foreign oppressor for an even harsher one.
But Nigerians were waving Russian flags a few months ago because we had been gaslit and believed these countries were now El Dorado.
The Arab world has emancipated the minds of their people with al-Jazeera and Al Arabiya, amongst others. It is time for us as Black Africans to also liberate our people from being mentally manipulated by Western media and think tanks that understand the psyche of the average African and work on it to gaslight us and make us hate our own institutions and leaders and believe that others have a greatness that we can only ever dream about.
