IG Wala has said a fellow human rights activist, Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been given a bail condition which includes not using social media.
MyNigeria reported that VDM was arrested last week by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and placed in custody.
The anti-graft agency is yet to disclose why he was arrested and what he will be charged with.
IG Wala, in a post on Facebook, hinted that VDM’s arrest is part of a plot to suppress the allegation against President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, who is accused of masterminding the alleged abduction of a self-acclaimed NANS president.
He wrote, “One of the bail conditions that they will give VDM Verydarkblackman is not use social media. The Seyi Tinubu saga must be suppressed by all means. #freevdm.”
