A new video has surfaced showing Kachallah Bugaje, a notorious bandit leader in Northwest Nigeria, leading a prayer session with his fighters. The exclusive five-minute footage, obtained by Zagazola Makama, has sparked widespread debate, with some dismissing it as a mere publicity stunt.
Bugaje, who recently announced his decision to renounce banditry and adopt the name Zakiru Bugaje, was seen in the video reciting prayers alongside his men. His actions come shortly after he declared that he and 50 of his fighters had abandoned criminal activities, including kidnapping and ransom collection.
In an earlier video, Bugaje admitted to abducting over 50 individuals and demanding ransoms ranging from 10 million to 25 million naira. However, he claimed that his gang eventually released the captives without payment, citing the fear of God as their reason.
