Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International, has explained why some people pray but fail to receive answers.
In a recent sermon streamed on YouTube, the cleric emphasized the importance of approaching God with the right mindset when praying.
According to Suleman, every kingdom has a system, structure, and culture that must be followed to achieve results. He explained that the Kingdom of God operates by specific principles, and failure to adhere to them may hinder prayers from being answered.
“There are syllables and an organogram of operation in every kingdom,” Suleman said. “There is a way to live and operate in this Kingdom. There is a way to package yourself to get results.”
Using the biblical account of David as an example, he highlighted how the king approached God with confidence and a sense of direction rather than desperation or self-pity. Suleman referenced a scripture where David, instead of lamenting about his predicament, went to God and asked, “Shall I pursue? Shall I overtake?”
He stressed that many people fail in prayer because they approach God with a defeated mentality, focusing on their problems rather than seeking solutions.
“The reason most people don’t see answers even in the place of prayer is that they come with a defeated mindset, asking, ‘Oh God, why? Why did You let this happen to me?’” Suleman said. “No! When you stand before the King, there is no time for pity. Make a demand on what you expect.”
He urged believers to approach God’s presence with confidence and a positive mentality, understanding that faith-filled prayers yield results. Instead of lamenting over challenges, he advised them to present their requests boldly and trust in God’s ability to deliver.
Suleman concluded by reminding Christians that effective prayer requires faith, a right attitude, and alignment with the principles of God’s Kingdom.
