Secret Weapon: Security Forces Arrested Kidnappers’ Families to Force Their Hand – How 46 Hostages Were Freed

A key tactic used in the rescue of 39 pupils and seven teachers from Oriire Local Government Area has been revealed.

According to reports, security operatives identified the kidnappers, traced their family members, and detained them for questioning.

The move reportedly mounted intense pressure on the abductors.

The operation was coordinated by the Chief of Defence Staff, bringing together personnel from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy, and the Office of the National Security Adviser in a joint effort.

Eight kidnappers were arrested, while several others were neutralised during the operation.

The victims are now receiving medical attention and being reunited with their families.
