Kaduna State Graduates 4,050 Trainees in Welding, Electrical, Fashion, Solar and Other Skills

Governor Uba Sani on Thursday presided over the graduation of 4,050 trainees from the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development.

The ceremony was held at the Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa Campus in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area. The institute has campuses in Rigachikun, Soba and Samaru Kataf. It was set up by the Kaduna State Government and commissioned by President Bola Tinubu.

Those in attendance included Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Minister of Education Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje, and the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

The trainees were trained in aluminium fabrication, carpentry and joinery, catering and hospitality, computer hardware maintenance, electrical installation, fashion design, masonry, mechatronics, plumbing and pipe fitting, painting and decoration, refrigeration and air conditioning, solar installation, tiling and welding.
