President Tinubu Orders Arrest of Nwabueze and Suspends 3 Permanent Secretaries After ICPC Uncovers Fake Agency in SGF Office
ICPC has uncovered the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office operating inside the SGF office without presidential authorisation.
ICPC Chairman Musa Adamu Aliyu named Prince George Buchi Nwabueze as the alleged promoter. Collaborators inside the SGF office are also under suspicion.
The find came during probes into the earlier fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and weak government checks.
President Tinubu ordered Nwabueze’s immediate arrest and suspended Permanent Secretaries M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
He also ordered a forensic audit of government processes. ICPC says investigations continue.
