The newly established University of Agriculture, Science, and Technology in Ihugh has officially opened its doors, hosting its very first matriculation ceremony.
Governor Hyacinth Alia says the state is fully committed to backing the school with the funds and policies it needs to thrive.
The objective is for the institution to become a top-tier hub for research and innovation.
The governor told the 668 pioneer class to stay disciplined and embrace innovation from day one. He also promised that his administration will not relent in supporting the institution.
The school’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Qrisstuberg Amua, also shared some words of advice. He challenged the students to set a high standard for future classes and thanked the government for making higher education more accessible.
The students couldn’t hide their excitement, promising to work hard and make the institution proud.
The community is looking forward to seeing how the students will transform agriculture and technology in the region.
