Osun Election: Sowore Attacks Adeleke, Says Osogbo Looks Like ‘War Zone’

AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, accusing his administration of poor governance and expressing concerns over the state of infrastructure in the capital, Osogbo.

Sowore made the comments as political activities intensify ahead of the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election.

The AAC candidate accused Adeleke of lacking control over the affairs of the state and questioned the quality of governance under his administration.

Sowore Criticises Osogbo Infrastructure

Sowore also criticised the condition of infrastructure in Osogbo, describing parts of the state capital as resembling a “war zone.”

He used the description while expressing his dissatisfaction with what he considers inadequate infrastructure and poor urban development in the state.

The comments form part of Sowore’s broader criticism of the Adeleke administration as political parties and candidates make their final push ahead of Saturday’s election.

The AAC candidate also took aim at the governor’s style of governance, accusing him of failing to effectively manage the affairs of Osun State.

Sowore further described governance in the state as appearing to operate like a “family business,” a reference to what he portrayed as excessive family influence in the administration.
