Concern has been raised over an alleged incident at a Registration Area Centre (RAC) in Ife East Local Government, Ward 10 (Modakeke Ward 3), where some police officers were reportedly accused of invading the centre and firing tear gas during the distribution of electoral materials.
According to the allegation, the incident disrupted the distribution process, while the election materials were allegedly carted away from the RAC centre.
The incident comes as Osun State prepares for the governorship election, with stakeholders calling for a credible, peaceful and transparent electoral process.
