Think Yoruba First (TYF) has called on political parties, candidates, supporters, security agencies, election officials, traditional institutions, community leaders and residents of Osun State to maintain peace and restraint ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

In a statement dated August 14, 2026, the organisation warned that political differences must not lead to violence, loss of lives or destruction of communities, stressing that “no political office is worth the blood of a Yoruba son or daughter.”

TYF also urged security agencies to remain professional and impartial, while calling on political parties to respect a credible electoral process and seek redress through legal channels where necessary.
