Political Analyst Says South-West Is Politically Ahead, Urges Support for Tinubu

A political analyst has described the South-West as politically more organised and influential than other regions in Nigeria, while calling on people in the region to strengthen their support for South-West-based political interests and President Bola Tinubu.

The analyst made the comments in a video circulating on social media and shared by The Yoruba Times on X.

According to him, the South-West has moved ahead politically because of what he described as stronger political connections, coordination and unity within the region.

He contrasted the region’s political organisation with that of the South-East, arguing that the South-West has developed a stronger political structure capable of influencing national politics.

The analyst also described President Tinubu as building a political empire, while claiming that the President’s emergence has challenged what he referred to as the long-standing “Fulani political hegemony” in Nigeria.

He further argued that a South-West politician had demonstrated the political courage to confront the established political order, urging other regions to recognise the South-West’s growing influence in the country’s political landscape.

The comments have generated discussion online, particularly over the analyst’s comparison of Nigeria’s geopolitical regions and his characterisation of the country’s political power structure.

However, the claims represent the analyst’s political assessment and should not be taken as an established fact about the relative political strength of Nigeria’s regions.
