Ali Modu Sheriff Defends Tinubu, Cites Increase in States’ Federal Allocations

Former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, has defended the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the President deserves recognition for policies aimed at moving the country forward.

Sheriff stated that if critics are unwilling to commend Tinubu’s achievements, they should refrain from condemning his administration.

He pointed to the increase in federal allocations to states, noting that some states now receive as much as ₦55 billion in a single month.

According to the former governor, the total federal allocation received by Borno State throughout his eight-year tenure as governor was about ₦150 billion, which he contrasted with the current monthly allocations received by some states.
