The Terrorists Finally Let Them Go But The Nigerian Army Says The Real Story Happened Behind The Scenes

Sometimes the loudest victory is the one that ends without another family receiving terrible news.

After nearly two months of fear, sleepless nights and nationwide anxiety, the Nigerian Army says the unconditional release of the 44 abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State did not happen by chance but came after a relentless intelligence operation that slowly dismantled the kidnappers’ entire support network until they had little choice left.

According to the military, the operation lasted for more than one month and involved coordinated intelligence gathering and security missions that targeted not only the terrorists themselves but also the informants, logistics suppliers, hideouts and kingpins behind the abduction.

The Army said multiple arrests were carried out across Oyo State and several other states, gradually crippling the group’s operations and placing them under overwhelming pressure before they eventually released all 44 victims unconditionally on July 10, 2026.

Sometimes the people hiding behind the criminals become just as important as the criminals themselves, because without the roots the tree eventually falls.
