France are through to the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after second-half goals from Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé sealed a comfortable 2-0 quarter-final victory over Morocco at Boston Stadium.
Mbappé, who had a penalty saved by Yassine Bounou in the first half, responded emphatically — curling in his eighth goal of the tournament on 60 minutes, assisted by Désiré Doué. Dembélé added the second six minutes later to put the tie beyond doubt.
The win makes it three consecutive World Cup semi-finals for Les Bleus, who will now face either Spain or Belgium in the last four.
Mbappé’s tally of eight goals moves him ahead of Lionel Messi in the Golden Boot race, with Morocco — Africa’s last remaining side — eliminated for the second successive World Cup by France.
