BREAKING: Troops Neutralise IPOB/ESN Operatives In Anambra, Recover Arms And IEDs

Troops of Joint Task Force South East, Operation UDO KA, have neutralised three operatives of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network, ESN, during an operation in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The joint security team intercepted the suspects along the Ogboji Ajali axis on June 23 after intelligence indicated that armed criminals dressed in military camouflage and police uniforms were planning attacks.

The troops recovered PKM machine guns, AK 47 rifles, ammunition, four improvised explosive devices, communication gadgets, a laptop, financial documents and a white Toyota Sienna reportedly used by the group.

Security forces are continuing operations in the area to trace fleeing suspects.
