The Elesin-ele of Esinele, Oba Tajudeen Abioye, has sworn with both the Holy Qur’an and the Holy Bible to affirm his innocence in the abduction of 39 pupils and seven teachers in Oriire Local Government Area.
Speaking amid ongoing investigations, the monarch declared, “I know nothing about the attack beyond what has already been reported.
Why would I be part of the pain that has thrown my own community into mourning?”
His denial follows reports that he was invited for questioning by the police, which the Oyo State Command has since dismissed as false and misleading.
